Communications, RF and Wireless

SSSL has a long history in the communications market from wired systems such as STM16-STM1 Demux and STM1 Clock Recovery Circuits through to mobile RF and wireless systems. Examples of our designs include:

  • Complete single chip CT2 900 MHz transceiver, all functions aerial to the inputs of CMOS baseband chips including on chip synthesiser PLLs and VCOs.
  • High frequency blocks for RF transceivers including prescalers (3.6GHz), mixers (1.8GHz), LNA (with agc, 1.8GHz), pre power amplifier (3dBm output, 1.8GHz), on chip oscillators (LC design, -106dBc/Hz @100kHz from carrier, 0.9 to 2.4GHz).
  • Zero IF PCN and DECT (1.8GHz) transceivers.
  • IF receivers for wireless local loop
  • 1.3GHz logarithmic amplifier. Complete wideband 200MHz to 1.3GHz PLL.
  • Low cost 480MHz transmitter and receiver for keyless entry systems.
  • CMOS 2GHz transceiver.
  • Low phase noise synthesisers up to 3.5GHz.
  • High dynamic range 100Mbit/s trans-impedance amplifier
  • Low cost single chip ISM band (900 MHz) zero IF full duplex FSK transceiver
  • HYPERLAN
  • Bluetooth
