Born in 1967 Richard joined the Royal Navy in 1983 as a Weapons Engineer and left in 1996 to pursue a career in civilian life.

His first position was as an Integration Engineer at Matra Marconi Space where his responsibilities including travel to the USA and French Guyana to test and prepare Inmarsat satellites for launch.

In 1998 Richard moved in to sales with M/A-Com selling RF and microwave components where he won a Star Award for outstanding sales.

In 2001 he moved to Wireless Systems International as Business Development Manager on Multi Carrier Power Amplifiers. The company was bought by a large American organistaion and was quickly dispanded.

His next role was as Business Development Manager at Software Radio Technology where he secured the company's largest ever order exceeding £1M.

Due to this success he was offered the role of Director of Sales at SSSL in 2003 which was gratefully accepted and has since won SSSL's largest ever development order which exceeds £3 Million.

His main interests are Rugby Union, supporting Cardiff Blues and Wales and also Liverpool FC.
