Martin Rutter - Commercial Manager
After graduating in 1982 from Brunel University, Martin's early career was involved with the research and development of compound semiconductor and CMOS processes for both GEC and British Aerospace.
Martin then became involved in developing electronic packaging techniques based on thin film technologies. Martin directed three European collaborative research programmes in the field of electronic packaging on behalf of twelve European systems companies.
Martin was then instrumental in the creation of a new electronics business venture unit for BAe and was the Business Manager of the unit with operational responsibility.
Martin then moved to Alcatel and had responsibility for sales and marketing in European for the SEL division.
Martin’s role for Swindon Silicon Systems encompasses strategic purchasing for the global sourcing of silicon technologies and packaging. In addition, he provides account management services to all Swindon Silicon Systems customers for both development and production contracts.
