From origins as a design house, the company has evolved and widened its scope over the years to include supply of ASICs and standard products and was one of the first "fabless" semiconductor companies.

Since the mid-1980's the company has realised an annual growth and with the acquisition by Tomkins is now well placed to successfully service and support all areas of ASIC design and the supply of the final product. Approximately 80% of the sales revenue is derived from major international companies in Europe, the USA and the Far East. As part of our continuous expansion programme, we have assembled a team of 20 top-ranking IC engineers with a cumulative experience in excess of 300 years.

The company operates from its UK headquarters in Swindon, Wiltshire with International Sales Representatives operating in key geographical areas.

Swindon Silicon Systems provide a complete integrated service from design concept through to production supply for analogue and mixed mode ASICs.

The design team's expertise is broad-based and has established an international reputation as specialist within the Mixed Mode, RF and high-speed design areas.

Using the "fabless" business model, approved partner companies are used to fabricate the silicon and package the devices. By utilising a wide variety of partner foundries, the most advanced semiconductor processes can be selected for maximum performance at minimal cost.
